Airstream is known for quality and durability and though they do carry a few smaller models, nothing about them is cheap. Founder Wally Byam created the bullet-shaped trailers with the polished aluminum skins that were easy to tow. Some of the Airstreams built in the 1930s are still operating today.
As of April 2015, the least expensive Airstream is the Sport, which comes in 16-foot and 22-foot lengths. Starting price, according to the company website, is $42,334. Next up in price is the Flying Cloud, a 19-foot trailer that starts at $58,150. Both are single-axle trailers, are fully self-contained and have Airstream's trademark aerodynamic shape.
