The primary difference between the 2015 Honda Pilot and the 2014 version of the vehicle is the availability of a new Special Edition trim for the 2015 model year. The 2015 Pilot is otherwise similar to earlier version, as the model has not had a major redesign since the 2009.
The Special Edition, or SE, trim of the 2015 Honda Pilot is a slightly upgraded version of the EX trim available on the 2014 and 2015 models. Base features on all Pilot models include rear privacy glass, keyless entry, 60/40 split folding second-row and third-row seats, a seven-speaker sound system and a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 250 horsepower and 253 foot-pounds of torque. The SE version of the pilot adds the automatic headlights, eight-way adjustable power driver's seat and additional instruments found on the EX model. It also adds exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels, a sunroof, satellite radio and a rear entertainment system to the EX trim's upgrades.
While the 2015 Honda Pilot is very similar to Pilots produced since 2009, it does have a number of significant differences from the first-generation Pilot. These include a redesigned exterior and interior and a more usable third-row seating configuration than that of the first-generation vehicle.
