A wireless signal booster is a device that strengthens and sustains a wireless signal, improving its performance and capabilities. Some signal boosters may also extend wireless signals over a greater area or make signals more directional.
Wireless signal boosters attach to computers or to routers at the spot that the antenna connects. Some boosters replace existing router antennas and amplify the existing signal multiple times directionally or bi-directionally. They maximize receive sensitivity and transmit power to improve and maintain signal strength and may also be connected to an external high gain antenna to enhance signal. Improved signal strength results in better network speed and stability.
