Microsoft Windows Media Player can be acquired for the Microsoft Windows 8 operating system by downloading the software set up file at Microsoft.com and running the installation process. Windows 8 PCs come with Windows Media Player installed by default.
Windows 8 includes Windows Media Player 12 by default. From the desktop, click the Start button, click on the All Programs menu option, locate Windows Media Player in the list of applications and click on it to open.
To get Windows Media Player for Microsoft Windows 8, first open a web browser and direct it to Microsoft.com. At the top of the page, click on the Software & Apps tab, hover over Windows in the drop-down menu, and then click on the All Windows header link.
