Microsoft Paint is a built-in feature in Windows 7 operating system. This basic computer-graphics program enables users to draw on a blank canvas, resize images or modify existing pictures with the aid of simple editing tools.
The user interface of the improved Windows 7 version of MS Paint includes a drawing area, quick access toolbar, ribbon and paint button. The ribbon is the strip above the painting area that displays the various tools and drawing options available to the user.
Access MS Paint in Windows 7 through the Windows Start menu by clicking "All Programs," followed by "Accessories" and then "Paint." Once the application is open, users can add lines or shapes, apply color, add text, crop an image, delete a portion of a picture, transform the orientation of an object or use a drawn picture as desktop background.
