Sumtotal Systems is a provider of human resource management software for businesses of all types and sizes. Partnering with SumTotal Systems, Wendy's launched its the learning management system, or LMS, on July 15, 2009.
On that date, Wendy's rolled out its SumTotal Systems implementation to roughly 45,000 employees in 1,400 Wendy's restaurants. Before implementing SumTotal Systems, Wendy's tested the software to ensure compatibility and positive impact. After the completion of these pilot tests, Wendy's management was confident that SumTotal Systems would suit Wendy's LMS needs.
SumTotal Sytems develops LMS software that is multi-lingual and fully accessible to learners with many levels of computing experience. LMS software works by streamlining and standardizing the process of computerized skills training. In addition, the software integrates other aspects of human resources, such as performance metrics and compensation management.
SumTotal Systems and other LMS providers claim to close crucial gaps in employee skills. They also purport to limit the occurrence of business interruptions. Based in Gainesville, Florida, Sumtotal Systems was born with the 2003 merger of the software firms Asymetrix and Docent Software. The oldest of its constituent halves was founded in 1985.
