The official website for the Jehovah's Witnesses Christian denomination is JW.org. The website offers a wealth of information regarding the denomination, including an online Bible publication, access to the "Watchtower" and "Awake!" magazines and various Bible study discussions.
The Jehovah's Witnesses began in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, by a group led by Charles Taze Russell in 1870. Originally called the "Watch Tower Society," the group moved its headquarters to Brooklyn, New York, in the early 20th century; there, it became more formally known as the International Bible Students Association. It was not until the 1930s where the term Jehovah's witnesses was introduced by organization president Joseph F. Rutherford.
