The Warning Second Coming website was shut down due to false claims about the second coming of Christ and subsequent condemnation by Catholic authorities. The site claimed that two comets would collide and turn the sky red sometime before the end of 2011, which did not happen.
An anonymous woman known as Maria Divine Mercy was the force behind the WSC website. She made claims that she received direct messages from God, Christ and the Holy Spirit and that her book, "The Book of Truth," would become canonically part of the Bible. Though she did accurately predict the ousting of Pope Benedict XVI, her claim that Pope Francis is a false Pope has led to accusations of heresy from the Catholic Church.
