What Is the Vodafone PUK Code?

The Vodafone PUK code is a unique number assigned to an individual cellular phone's SIM card. This code is part of a security measure in place to help prevent unauthorized access to the cellphone owner's account.

In the event of an unauthorized access attempt in which the security PIN number is entered incorrectly three times in a row, the account is temporarily locked and the PUK number is required to regain access to the account. Incorrectly entering the PUK number 10 times in a row permanently breaks the SIM card, which requires the owner to contact Vodafone for a free replacement card.
