To get on Verizon's do not call list, contact the company's customer service department by phone or mail. Provide your full name, address and any phone numbers that you want included on the list. The company's customer service phone number is 800-922-0204, as of July 2015.
Verizon notes requests immediately and is able to remove information from its active lists within 30 days. The procedure is the same if you want your information taken off Verizon's do not call list so you can receive its marketing calls again.
The company's do not call list only applies to marketing calls. If you have an account with Verizon, it may still contact you about other issues, such as service problems, account information updates or billing issues. If your telephone number changes, notify Verizon to remain on the list
Another option is the National Do Not Call Registry, which applies to all telemarketing calls. To sign up for that list, visit DoNotCall.gov and click on Register a Phone Number. Enter any phone numbers you want on the list and your email address. After confirming your information, the site sends you an email with a link. Click on the link in the email to complete your registration process.
