Due to the high volume of customers currently subscribed with Verizon, they do not offer phone call alerts when a bill is ready, as of 2015. Instead, customers can choose between receiving an email or a text notification when it is time to pay their bill.
Verizon allows customers to edit their bill notification preferences through their online Verizon account. On special occasions, Verizon calls the customer's billing telephone number if a significant change has been made to a customer's account, but only if the customer has not responded to a text or email notification. This does not apply to bill notification delivery.
