To use Wi-Fi on a tablet, go to the Home screen, tap the Settings icon, and then tap Wi-Fi. Push the slider to the right-hand side of the screen to turn on the Wi-Fi feature. If the Wi-Fi option does not appear on the Settings screen, tap the Connections tab, and locate it from the provided menu. Select a wireless network from the list, type the network’s password if prompted, and then tap Connect.
If the wireless network you are looking for does not appear on the list of available networks, tap the Scan button to scan for wireless networks within range, select the network, and then tap Connect. A Wi-Fi icon appears on the notification menu at the top section of the screen when the tablet connects to the wireless network. To test the stability of the wireless network, open an Internet browser on the tablet, and then browse any website.
To check the signal status, go to the Home screen of the tablet, tap Settings, and select Wi-Fi. From the Wi-Fi screen, tap the wireless network connected to your device. Check the signal strength on the pop-up window, including other details such as the speed, IP address and connection status of that particular wireless network.
