In order to use Backup Assistant on a Verizon phone, open the application and select the option to back up the device. In addition, it is possible to schedule daily backups at a certain time each day.
After you back up all of your contacts, switching to a new device is easy, and this feature allows Verizon customers to restore backed-up contacts. With a new device, open or download Backup Assistant, then open the application and enter a personal identification number. At this point, you can restore your contacts simply by syncing with the Backup Assistant server, and all contacts will transfer to your new device. Keep in mind that these are general instructions, and specific devices may have their own instructions. These instructions are available on VerizonWireless.com, as of 2015.
When you sync your contacts with Backup Assistant, you can manage them online. To do this, sign into the Verizon website by entering a user ID and password for the My Verizon section. If you don't have a My Verizon ID, the website prompts you to register the first time you attempt a backup. When signed in, you can look at the web address book on the website, and browse all data from the last backup. At this point, you can edit, delete, add or view your contacts.
