To use the setup page for Belkin routers, access it by typing the router’s default IP address in the address field of a Web browser, log in using the access credentials, and finalize the setup process by selecting a connection type. Before accessing the setup page, connect your computer to the router with an Ethernet cable, and turn on the router.
After establishing a connection between the computer and router, the light-emitting diode for the port through which the computer is connected should be turned on. Open a Web browser, type “192.168.2.1.” in the address field, and press Enter. Click the Login link, type the administrator password in the Password field, and click Submit. If you haven’t accessed the setup page before, or if you haven’t set the password already, leave the Password field empty, and click Submit.
If typing the default IP address leads to an empty page, find the correct address via the command prompt. To do this, press R while holding down the Windows key, type “cmd” in the Open field, and click OK. Type “ipconfig /all” as the first line, press Enter, and use the address listed in the Default Gateway section as the default IP address for the router. To end the setup process, click on the Internet Connection link, select the desired connection type, click Next, enter the necessary details, and then click Apply Changes.
