To use Apple AirPrint, connect the device and the printer to the same Wi-Fi network, open an application, tap the share icon, select the printer option and choose the printer. Then, choose the print settings to confirm and print the document.
AirPrint is an Apple feature that allows users to print documents on any iOS device running iOS 4.2 or later. Several printers are compatible with the feature, including a variety of HP models. To use Apple AirPrint on a compatible device and printer, run through the following steps.
- Connect the devices
- Open the application
- Tap the share icon
- Choose the print option
- Choose a printer
- Select the print settings
- Print the document
Make sure both the device and the printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Most native iOS applications support AirPrint. However, some third-party applications do not. Make sure the application supports the feature before trying to print.
Tap the Share icon to pull up a list of actions.
The print option may look like a printer icon or it may simply be the word Print.
Choose a printer from the list of compatible devices.
Choose the print settings such as the number of copies to print.
Tap Print to confirm the print settings and print the document.
