To uninstall the Snap.do toolbar, remove all software published by ReSoft Ltd. from the Programs and Features list that can be accessed via the Control Panel. Restore the settings in your Web browser to the default state. Use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to remove the remaining traces.
- Access the Programs and Features list
Click on the Start button, and click on Control Panel. Click on the Programs link, and select the Programs and Features option. If the Control Panel elements are displayed as icons, click on Programs and Features directly.
- Uninstall Snap.do
Click on the Snap.do toolbar entry, and click on the Uninstall button. Follow the wizard instructions to complete the removal process. If other software that’s published by ReSoft Ltd. is present on the list, repeat the process to remove it as well.
- Restore the settings in your Web browser
Start Google Chrome, and open the drop-down menu by clicking on the button that’s represented by three horizontal bars. Select the Settings option, and click on the Show Advanced Settings link at the bottom. Click on the Reset Settings button, and click on Reset when a prompt pops up.
- Remove the remaining traces
Go the Malwarebytes home page, and click on the Free Version Download button. Double-click on the executable file once the download is complete, and follow the installation wizard instructions to complete the process. Start Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and wait for the malware database update to finish. Click on the Scan tab, select the Threat Scan option, and click on Scan Now. Select the Quarantine option from the drop-down menu next to detected items related to Snap.do, and click on Apply Actions.
