To uninstall programs in Windows 8, right-click on the title of the program from the Start screen, and then click the Uninstall button that comes with a trash can icon. On the pop-up prompt, click the Uninstall button again.
To uninstall unwanted desktop programs in Windows 8, right-click on the bottom-left corner of the screen, and choose the Control Panel from the pop-up menu. Alternatively, if the Control Panel does not appear in the list, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the cursor downwards, and click Search. Type “control panel” into the search box, and then select Control Panel from the search results.
Under Programs on the Control Panel window, select Uninstall a Program. The Uninstall or Change a Program window appears showing a list of installed programs, their size, publisher, date of installation, and version number. Select the program to uninstall from the provided list, and then click the Uninstall button to remove the program from your computer. Click Yes on the pop-up window to confirm that you want to uninstall the selected program.
Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the program to remove it from the computer. This process completely removes the selected program from the computer and does not send a copy to the Recycle Bin.
