PC Optimizer Pro can be removed from a Windows-based PC using the Windows uninstall tool or by using free adware-removal tools such as AdwCleaner or CCleaner. Usually installed onto a computer without the user's knowledge, PC Optimizer pro is supposedly a Windows registry cleaner tool. It scans computers for "vulnerabilities" and "errors" then asks for money from the user to fix the problems.
The PC Optimizer Pro usually installs itself into a computer surreptitiously after the user downloads some free software from the Internet. The following is one easy method of removing the software.
- Go to the Control Panel
- Click on Programs
- Right click on the PC Optimizer Pro
- Confirm and refuse
- Alternative method
To navigate to the Windows Control Panel, click the Start button on Windows 7, Vista or XP and then click on the Control Panel button. On Windows 8 and 8.1, press the Windows button and the letter "I" simultaneously.
On the next menu screen, click on Programs. This action will display a list of all the programs installed on the computer.
Search the list of programs for the PC Optimizer Pro. Right click on the software and then click on Uninstall.
After clicking on Uninstall, the computer will ask for confirmation of the uninstall action. Confirm the action and ignore any request from websites to reconsider.
An alternative method of removing the unwanted software would be to download free and reputable adware-removal software such as AdwCleaner and CCleaner. Once the free removal tool has been downloaded, launch it to scan and remove PC Optimizer Pro.
