Sprint Nextel sells mobile phones by Apple, Samsung and LG as of November 2015. A provider of wireless services, Nextel Communications is a wholly owned subsidiary of telecommunications company Sprint Corporation. It sells the Apple iPhone 6, Samsung's Galaxy S5 and Note II, and LG's G Flex2 and associated plans.
Apple released the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus in September 2014. Compared to their iPhone 5 predecessors, they have wider screens, upgraded cameras and faster processor speeds. They also have better LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity and have near-field communications ability to support mobile payments functions. Negative feedback included a soft chassis, flash storage performance problems and camera stabilization issues on some models.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 was released on February 2014 and received positive reviews from CNET for its bright beautiful display, fast processor and excellent camera experience. However, its fingerprint scanning feature is confusing, and the phone's overall design could be improved. CNET praised the LG G Flex 2 for its arched design, sharp display, fast processor and scratch-free coating. However, its camera does not take sharp photos, and its battery capacity is lower than its predecessor.
