What Types of Home Security Does AT&T Offer Customers?

As of 2015, AT&T Digital Life offers customers three types of home security packages: Smart Security and Automation, Smart Security and Premium Security and Automation. AT&T provides free in-home consultations to help potential subscribers decide on the best plan that matches their needs and budget.

The AT&T Digital Life service provides subscribers with remote access to conveniently manage and monitor various aspects of their home with the use of an Internet-enabled device, such as a smartphone, tablet or computer. Some features of the Smart Security package include round-the-clock professional home monitoring, free standard installation, text and email notifications, wireless connectivity and compatibility with major Internet service providers.

The Smart Security package also comes with several devices that include an indoor screen, motion sensor, keypad, surface contact sensors and recessed contact sensors. As of 2015, this particular plan is available to consumers for around $40 per month.

The Smart Security and Automation plan, which offers the same basic features as the Smart Security package, also includes a live or recorded video feed of the home and the ability to remotely control a door's locking mechanism. This package comes with a push-button door lock, camera for outdoor applications and touchscreen capability. The Smart Security and Automation package costs around $55 per month as of 2015.

The Premium Security and Automation option includes all the features offered in the Smart Security and Automation package along with additional services, such as energy systems management. The package comes with a thermostat, temperature and water sensors, smoke sensor, indoor smart plugs, glass break sensor and carbon monoxide sensor. As of 2015, the Premium Security and Automation plan is available for $65 per month.
