Wal-Mart sells a wide variety of computer monitors, including LED LCD monitors, USB-powered portable monitors and touchscreen monitors, as of December 2015. These computer monitors are manufactured by Acer, AOC, Asus, Dell and Hewlett Packard, as well as by Samsung, Sceptre, UpStar, ViewSonic and V7, and they are available in many sizes and with varying features.
Among Wal-Mart's lineup of LED LCD monitors are the Hewlett Packard W2082A, a 20-inch monitor; the Asus VS228T-P, a 21.5-inch widescreen monitor; and the AOC e2260Swdn, a 22-inch widescreen monitor. LED backlit monitors are thinner, more energy efficient and have better local dimming capability that results in deeper blacks and better picture quality than conventional LCD monitors.
Made by AOC and Asus, Wal-Mart's inventory of USB-powered portable monitors come in 15.6-inch, 16-inch and 17.3-inch sizes. The USB interface allows the monitor to power-up without a power cord. Users cite the monitors' small size, light weight, portability and plug-and-go convenience that make them handy for small meetings, as second screens or substitutes for a projector.
Wal-Mart's lineup of touchscreen monitors includes the Dell S2240T, a 21.5-inch multi-touch LED monitor; the Acer T272HL bmjjz, a 27-inch LED widescreen monitor; and the Planar 22-inch widescreen edge-lit LED LCD. Touchscreens allow for a more intuitive user experience that is similar to touchscreen phones and tablets.
