MS Access has two main types of templates: Web database and client database templates. Web database templates have their databases published to a SharePoint server that runs Access Services. There are five Web database templates
Assets Web Database manages asset details, while Charitable Contributions Web Database keeps track of the results of fundraising campaigns. Contacts Web Database keeps track of the contact information of the various entities and individuals that the user does business with. Projects Web Database assists in monitoring various projects in progress within an organization.
Client Web Database templates are not designed for publishing to a SharePoint server that is running Access Services but can be shared across a network. There are seven client database templates.
Events Web Database keeps track of important events. Faculty Web Database manages data concerning a school's teachers, and Marketing Web Database handles details regarding marketing projects. Northwind Web Database keeps track of business data such as data on customers, clients and inventory. Sales Pipeline Web Database follows sales progress within a group of sales executives, while Students Web Database manages information on students such as contacts and medical history. Tasks Web Database keeps track of all the assignments that need to be completed by a particular team.
