The Colorado Program Eligibility and Application Kit website is a tool that allows residents to access information concerning assistance programs, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Medicare, Medicaid, the Colorado Indigent Care Program and many other state social services. Residents can also complete and submit one application that works for most of the available social services.
Once a Colorado resident has completed the PEAK application, she can use the website to check her eligibility for any available food, medical or cash assistance programs. She can also check her benefits status and available funds.
The PEAK website's goal is to put residents back in charge of the public benefits application process. In addition to allowing residents to access screening, application and information updates without assistance from a county or state employee, the PEAK website streamlines the process for caregivers to apply on behalf of their clients.
In accordance with the Affordable Care Act, the PEAK website also provides information and access to public and private health care options and benefits, including Colorado's health care marketplace, Child Health Plan Plus, private health insurance companies and Veterans Administration services. The site offers access to programs specific to Native and Alaskan Americans as well.
