To use Amazon.com’s Online Returns Center, follow the prompts on-screen to determine if an item meets the eligibility requirements for a return. Follow the instructions on-screen to print a return mailing label, and select a return option for your item. Although eligibility varies among items, you may be able to choose whether to get a refund, receive a replacement or exchange the item for something else.
Although some items are automatically eligible for return, you may need to submit a return request for certain items. Whether or not the return meets the seller’s specific rules and is eligible for return is up to the seller. After you contact a seller to request a return, the seller must respond within two business days. If he doesn't respond, submit an A-to-Z Guarantee claim with Amazon.com.
After arranging a return, prepare and ship the item. Print out the label for the return by clicking the email sent by Amazon.com after requesting the return. The label also appears in the Manage Returns tab on the associated Amazon.com account. Customers without printers can request return labels by mail.
Pack items for return securely, and include any paperwork necessary to process the return. The original packaging is an ideal return shipment container, but you can also use a sturdy box with padding.
