If the scanner isn't turning on, check whether the power cord is firmly plugged into the scanner. Next, check whether the power outlet is in working condition. Ensure the power flow isn't being hampered by devices such as surge protectors and uninterrupted power supplies.
If the scanner is producing low quality images, check its display for error messages. If there aren't any error messages, dampen a lint-free cloth with water, and gently wipe the scanner's glass. Additionally, adjust the resolution settings of the scanner for higher quality images. If the scanner is partially scanning documents, check the placement of the documents; you should load each document face down in the upper left corner of the scanner's glass. Next, check whether the paper size set in your computer is matching the size of the actual document you are scanning.
If the scanner isn't being recognized on your computer, check whether the interface cable connecting the scanner to your computer is in good condition.
