Wipe the iPad screen with a slightly damp soft cloth free of lint while the unit is shut off. Avoid any cleaners, which are potentially damaging to the iPad's touch screen.
Only soft cloths are safe for cleaning iPad screens, as paper towels or any type of abrasive cloth can damage the protective coating on the screen. A slightly dampened cloth removes any oils built up on the screen without the need for any type of cleaner. Any products containing ammonia, solvents, hydrogen peroxide or abrasives wear down the coating or leave scratches in the surface. Unplug and power off the iPad before you begin cleaning to reduce the risk of shock.
