Three examples of computer peripherals are a mouse, keyboard and monitor. A computer peripheral is a device that interfaces with a computer and provides either input or output functionality.
Input peripherals allow a user to communicate with a computer. The most common input devices are the mouse and keyboard. When a user clicks a mouse, a signal is sent to the computer, and it responds accordingly. Output devices allow a user to experience the information a computer provides. Output devices provide users with the ability to see or hear information. A monitor provides a user with visual output, and speakers or headphones provide a user with auditory output.
