Straight Talk's terms place limitations on the use of all unlimited services. Its unlimited calling plans may not be used for continuous, uninterrupted calls, telemarketing, automatically dialed calls or monitoring devices. They also cannot be used to connect to other networks, such as dial-up Internet connections. Unlimited text messaging plans may not be used for automated text or picture messaging.

Its unlimited data service does not allow continuous streaming, uploading or downloading of video, peer-to-peer file sharing or use as a dedicated Internet connection. Straight Talk reserves the right to throttle, limit or terminate data service to customers who use excessive amounts of data. It also reserves the right to determine what constitutes excessive network usage and to change that determination at any time.

Straight Talk's terms also state that roaming policies vary depending on the type of phone a subscriber uses. Customers with CDMA-based phones do not roam on other networks, while customers with GSM-based phones do have domestic roaming capabilities. No Straight Talk customers have international roaming capabilities.
