Straight Talk Wireless is a mobile phone service provider. The company is partnered with TracFone, as well as Wal-Mart, offering its service plans exclusively through the retailer's stores.
Straight Talk offers a range of relatively low-priced cellular phone plans. It licenses network services from T-Mobile and AT&T for phone services and Sprint and Verizon for data. All of its plans offer unlimited text messaging and some amount of 1xRTT or 3G data. The unlimited plans provide unlimited talk time but have data caps. Plans are prepaid by the month and do not require a contract or a credit check. Unlimited international calling is available, but as of 2014, unlimited international text messaging is restricted to certain phone types and call destinations. Plans can be paid with automatic recurring billing, with one-time monthly credit or debit card payments through its website, or by purchasing refill cards from Wal-Mart stores. Discounts are available for purchasing at least six months of an unlimited plan in advance.
Straight Talk branded iPhones and Blackberry Curves are available through Wal-Mart. Its plans also can be used with T-Mobile GSM phones or any unlocked phone that is GSM compatible. The use of AT&T GSM phones has been removed since February 2013, however. CDMA phones will not work with the service.
