Installing iFile Cydia involves jail-breaking the device, updating, loading its resources and following several basic steps such as clicking on the Manage tab. It includes getting the application from an external store as it is not hosted in the Apple store.
Jail-breaking is the modification of iOS to run unassigned code and access third-party applications such as Cydia that are not in the app store. It involves downloading a software (such as evasi0n7, redsn0w or TaiG) to jail-break depending on the software version. Click on the Cydia icon on the homescreen. It should update and load its resources. Perform a software upgrade, and restart the iOS device.
In the Cydia screen, click on the Manage tab, and go to Sources. In the Sources screen, click on the topmost right-hand corner Edit button and on the Add button that appears on the topmost left-hand corner. On the dialogue box that appears, type the repository URL to be added. After URL verification, it may give a warning that ought to be ignored. Click on Add Anyway, and allow the resources to be downloaded.
Click on the Return to Cydia prompt. Type iFile in the search tab, and click on the topmost result with a red-colored symbol. Click on Install, confirm to download, and install iFile. It appears as a white icon that keeps crashing upon clicking. Restart the iOS device.
