The Dell Vostro 220s is a budget slim tower desktop computer that features an Intel processor. As of January 2016, Dell no longer sells the Vostro 220s.
Running on the G45 Express chipset, an Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 powers the Vostro 220s, running at 2.66 gigahertz. The CPU features two cores, supports 64-bit computing and handles data bus speeds of up to 1,066 megahertz. It also features enhanced SpeedStep, Execute Disable Bit and Extended Memory 64 technologies by Intel. The processor connects to the motherboard through the LGA775 socket and has 3 megabytes of L2 cache.
The Vostro 220s features two RAM sticks, each with 1 gigabyte of DDR2 memory running at 800 megahertz. Although the motherboard supports up to 4 gigabytes of RAM, the computer does not offer any additional RAM slots for expansion. The Vostro 220s features an 80 gigabyte SATA hard disk drive that runs at 7,200 RPM, as well as a DVD-RW drive.
The computer features an integrated sound card and an Intel GMA X4500HD graphics adapter. The Vostro 220s offers six USB slots, with two on the front, as well as two PS/2 ports and an RJ45 port. For future expansion, the motherboard has one PCI Express x16, one PCI Express x1 and two PCI slots. Windows XP comes preinstalled on the computer.
