Because Adobe no longer sales Photoshop CS4, it is not possible to get a student discount for it. However, Adobe still offers special prices for students interested in its newer products.
As of December 2015, the Creative Cloud 2015 is the latest creative suite by Adobe. In addition to Adobe Photoshop, the basic student version of the creative software bundle includes Lightroom CC, Premiere Clip, Photoshop Fix and a few other applications. Students can either subscribe at $9.99 per month or pay for a year in advance at $119.88.
The more comprehensive version costs $19.99 per month or $239.99 per year. In addition to the application included in the basic package, the comprehensive bundle offers Adobe Illustrator, premium fonts, 20 gigabytes of cloud storage and more.
Adobe requires a proof of enrollment in an educational institution to offer the discounted prices. Students can prove their status by using a school-issued email address. The email address must include an education domain such as .edu or .k12. If unable to register with an education domain, students need a document issued by their school. Adobe accepts school ID cards, report cards, transcripts and tuition bills.
