Sign in to Apple devices using an Apple ID and password. An Apple ID logs a user in to almost everything Apple. Creating an account for any Apple product creates an Apple ID.
Users who do not have an Apple ID but wish to sign in to an Apple device can create an Apple ID on the Apple website. Users should go to My Apple ID and choose Create an Apple ID. Users can then input information to be used for their Apple IDs. Information required is a valid email address to use as an Apple ID user name, a strong password, three security questions along with answers, and date of birth.
Users should use the same Apple ID and password every time they sign in to an Apple device. All devices work together seamlessly this way. Users should also keep their account information up to date. To update information, sign in to My Apple ID. In My Apple ID, users can update an Apple ID email address, change their passwords, reset security questions and add rescue and alternate email addresses.
Apple can also use information to try to find out if a user already has an Apple ID. This information includes a user's first and last names and current email address.
