To ship a Bose product back to the factory for repair, the product must be returned with proof of purchase from an authorized Bose dealer to an specified repair facility. The facility address can be located on the Bose website.

The freight cost to the address must be prepaid, and the return authorization number must be prominently displayed on the outside of the shipping container. Shipments that do not have the authorization number are returned.

Bose's limited guarantee covers specific repair of products and describes what is covered. Only the original buyer or the person receiving the product as a gift is covered under this warranty, and the warranty is not transferable to other individuals. The duration of the limited warranty ranges from one to five years, depending on the product and the region in which was purchased. The document warrants that the Bose product should remain free of defects under normal-use conditions during the warranty period. The warranty does not cover defects or damage that is a result of improper or unreasonable use or maintenance. Situations not covered are more specifically defined as those caused by misuse, maintenance that fails to follow the operating instructions or damage caused by an accident, excess moisture or a power surge.
