Shaw wireless Internet is an Internet service package that Shaw Communications Inc. provides to its users as a part of its different Internet plans. It allows users to access the Internet service as long as they’re in the vicinity of one of the 50,000 Wi-Fi hotspots located in Western Canada.
One of the advantages of Shaw wireless Internet is the Shaw Go WiFi functionality that lets users register multiple Wi-Fi-capable devices to a single account and have them automatically connect to the Internet at no extra cost. To use this function, a user has to access the Wi-Fi settings on his tablet, select ShawOpen from the list of available networks and open a Web browser. In case the device doesn’t establish a wireless connection automatically, a user has to log in with his Shaw email address to activate the service. Users can acquire a Shaw email address by accessing the My Account section on Shaw.ca and creating an email address as part of their profile.
Although users of Shaw wireless Internet can connect an unlimited number of devices to a wireless network, the downside is that the selected Internet plan limits certain connection features to a specific number of devices. This means that users have to manually enter their login credential for every device that exceeds the number limit.
