To setup a Vizio television, select a location to mount it. Mount the television on a wall, or mount it on a tabletop. The user needs a screwdriver, the wall mount hardware and HDMI cables.
In case of a wall mounting setup, remove the base, and fasten the television to the wall using the four wall mounting holes at the rear of the television. For tabletop placement, place the television on a flat surface leaving enough space for air ventilation. To fasten the television, connect one end of the safety strap to the television and the other end to the wall.
To connect the set-top box, connect the high-definition multimedia interface cables to the corresponding HDMI jacks of the television and the set-top box. Disconnect the power supply during cable attachments. Vizio televisions have remote controls powered by batteries.
Switch on the power supply to the television, and press on the television power button. Switching on the television for the first time automatically starts the setup wizard. The wizard provides on-screen instructions and guides the user to through the complete setup process. The user needs an Internet connection and needs to know the network name and network key to connect the Vizio television to the Internet. Follow the setup wizard instructions to complete the setup, and connect to the Internet.
