Set up the Garmin Nuvi to navigate using the on-screen buttons on the main menu. These allow you to find locations either by address or by browsing Points of Interest.
Tapping Where To? in the main menu brings up several options. To search by address, tap Address. This brings up a keyboard and prompts the user to type in a city, followed by street name and number. The user may also search for a location without an address by tapping Points of Interest. This displays options for restaurants, airports, hospitals and other places of business. It also allows for searches by company name after selecting a category, or by tapping Spell Name.
When geocaching, search by coordinates by tapping Coordinates. A home location can be set by tapping Go Home. This prompts the user for a home address, which can be typed in or selected from the Recently Found list, or the user can select Use My Current Location. To save a current location as a Favorite, tap Browse Map, tap on the car icon and then tap Save Location. A stop can be added to any route by entering new destination information while en route to the original location.
