WeTransfer provides a simple and secure way to send large files by email. The free version of the platform allows users to send up to 2 GB of file attachments in an instance, while the premium version allows attachments of up to 20 GB in size.
To send files via the WeTransfer platform, users only provide an email address and the address of a recipient. They then select the Add Files option to attach files to the message and click the Transfer button to send the file to the recipient's email.
WeTransfer Plus accommodates larger transfers, giving users the ability to transfer huge sets of photos, entire HD videos and large work files. It allows users to present downloads in a customized style with a personalized background and URL. It also allows password-protected transfers for confidential files to ensure they never end in the wrong hands, and stores copies of all sent files on the site for users to resend, forward, edit or delete as they please. To get WeTransfer Plus, users sign up with a name and zip code and pay a standard monthly fee.
The mobile version of WeTransfer allows Android owners to share photos and videos directly to their friends' email addresses. The app allows users to pause, restart and cancel transfers, as well as select several images and preview uploads before sharing.
