As of 2015, WordPress does not offer phone support. The company handles all support online. WordPress users with paid accounts can use the company's Contact Support form to ask questions, while free users can reference the support forums and ask questions there.
Users with the business upgrade can access the live chat box located in their WordPress dashboard.
The contact support form available to all paid users provides the option of having questions answered publicly or privately. Users simply enter their question in the form and submit. WordPress posts public questions and answers in the Staff Answers forum.
According to WordPress, the company usually tries to answer all questions within 24 hours. To ensure it can answer questions completely and efficiently, WordPress asks users to provide the blog URL, the URL to the specific page where problems are occurring, a detailed description of the problem, a screenshot (if available) of the problem, and the username and email address associated with the account.
WordPress also directs users to specific departments depending on the issue. For example, WordPress asks users to contact the Akismet team for problems with spam, and they refer users experiencing problems with the Jetpack plugin to the Jetpack support team.
