The My Charter online portal allows Charter Communications customers with a valid username and password to access account information, pay bills and order new services. It also allows the customer to watch programming online, if she already owns Charter cable services, and access her Charter email address.
In order to access the features of the My Charter online portal, the user needs to have a current subscription to one of Charter's services, such as cable programming, cable Internet or Voice-Over-IP phone. A subscription to one or several of these services gives the user an account number, which allows her to create an online account. The account login requires a Charter email address, which is usually created when she signs up for her service. If she did not create one at this time, she needs to contact Charter's customer support team to do so.
Once she logs into the My Charter online portal, she is able to view and pay her current bill, as well as look at past billing statements. If she has a cable subscription, she is also able to watch certain programming online through the site as well. The online portal also includes features for ordering new Charter services and contacting the support team about issues with the account or the current services.
