The Advocacy Services for Kids website provides information and resources, individual support, referrals to community services, training, and a resource lending library to help guardians of children with mood, behavior and emotional disorders. ASK staff act as a family support partner to help guide parents and caregivers to needed services.
ASK assesses the unique needs of each family and assists it in meeting its goals. Resources and referrals include websites, community services and support groups. ASK provides advocacy training to parents so they can obtain the proper care for their special needs children.
Families receive assistance preparing for court hearings, school meetings and other functions. Many ASK staff members have raised children with the same challenges and are able to attend functions when families need support.
