GoToAssist is a software package that enables technical support workers to directly assist customers by interacting with customer computers remotely. GoToAssist also integrates with the company's Service Desk software to enable technical support logistics functions such as issue tracking and maintaining a knowledge base.
In addition to allowing technical support personnel to remotely control computers, GoToAssist also incorporates screen sharing and file sharing functionality. These allow for support personnel to observe issues in real time and quickly transfer files to users. While the GoToAssist client is mainly used on desktop computers, it is possible to use the remote features of the program through iOS and Android mobile devices with the associated Remote Support mobile app.
