Any phone purchased from a Verizon Wireless store can be used with the company's 65 plus plan. Phones that maximize the savings offered by this plan include the LG Exalt, the Samsung Gusto 3, and the LG Cosmos 3.
Although any Verizon-compatible phone can be used for this plan, the more data used monthly, the higher the monthly fee. If a customer uses a basic phone, such as the ones listed above, they can pay a monthly fee of just $10 for 75 MB of data. There's also a 'Pay As You Go' option, which charges $1.99 per MB of data used, plus an additional fee of $5 for personal email access, as of March 2015. If a customer wants to use a smartphone with the 65 plus plan, the lowest monthly data fee is $30 for 2 GB of data. Customers may use up to 12GB of data with this plan for a monthly fee of $100. Any Verizon Wireless phone can be used with their 65 plus plan, but basic phones offer the most savings on monthly data fees. In order to sign up for a 65 plus plan, eligible customers have to either visit a Verizon Wireless store or call 1-800-922-0204. It is not possible to sign up for one of these plans online.
