To ensure the safety of the consumer, SafeLink Wireless uses Secure Socket Layer technology to encrypt all sensitive information that processes through its website. SafeLink secures every webpage in this way, and the consumer can verify security by checking if the site URL begins with HTTPS instead of HTTP.
With SSL verification, a consumer can enter his information into SafeLink Wireless's website to see if service is offered in his state. The next step is to check eligibility for SafeLink Wireless services, and to see if he is also apart of the Lifeline Program. If a user is a member of the Lifeline Program, he needs to cancel his Lifeline plan to be eligible for SafeLink Wireless services.
