Once you are on the Craigslist car and truck site for the geographic area you are interested in, use the Price setting on the left side of the page to search, according to Craigslist. Input your minimum and maximum price points and hit Enter or Return.
You can further refine the price list by clicking on buttons along the top of the page, Craigslist reveals. The Newest button lists the most recent ads first. Another button displays dollars signs increasing from small to large; hit this to see cars from least to most expensive. Click on the button showing decreasing dollar signs, and cars run from most to least costly.
Other settings on the left side allow you to narrow your search by descriptors other than price, Craigslist demonstrates. For instance, you are able to indicate a specific make or model of interest. If the age of the car is an issue, type in the latest and most recent years -- maximum and minimum -- you want to consider. High and low odometer readings are also an option.
To focus your search even further, choose a specific color, size --sub-compact to full-size -- or type, such as sedan or hatchback. Type of drive, fuel or transmission and number of cylinders also restrict the hunt. In addition, you are permitted to explore by title status, such as clean, salvaged or rebuilt.
