To save pictures from a computer to a CD, download and install a free CD burning application, such as CDBurnerXP, create a compilation containing the pictures, and burn the files to an empty CD. Once the burning process completes, save the compilation for future use, or remove it.
To download CDBurnerXP, navigate to CDBurnerXP.se, and click on the Free Download button to acquire the latest version of the application. Double-click on the downloaded file to start the setup process, follow the steps in the installation wizard, and install the application. Start it by clicking on the CDBurnerXP icon, selecting the Data Disc option, and clicking OK to start creating a compilation. To save the compilation after creating it, click on the floppy disk icon, choose a name for the compilation, and click Save.
The process of creating a compilation involves two sections: the compilation and the explorer window. Use the explorer window to locate the pictures, select them, and click the Add button. Alternatively, click on the pictures, and drag them to the compilation window. Arrange the pictures into separate folders to create a specific file structure, select names for the image files, folders and the CD, and click Burn. Select the Finalize Disc option to increase the degree of compatibility with different CD/DVD drives, or select the Leave Disc Open option to be able to add new pictures to the same disc later.
