Eutelsat Communications is the satellite television provider that includes Ghana TV station access, as of 2015. Listed as ETL on NYSE Euronext Paris, Eutelsat signed an agreement with Ghana's Crystal TV in late 2014.
ETL, which was set up in 1977, has access to 35 satellites. It provides data, broadband and video communication services that cover Europe, the Americas, Africa, Middle East and Asia-Pacific to pay-TV operators, government bodies, businesses and more. It signed a 10-year agreement with Crystal TV, which is Ghana's foremost commercial broadcaster that provides both free-to-air and pay-TV channels. With the agreement, Crystal TV is able to provide digital broadcast services via EUTELSAT 16A to the entire country, resulting in Ghana's first transition from analogue to digital TV broadcasting.
