To get rid of cookies in Google Chrome, access the Advanced Settings section located in the main Settings window, check the box next to the Cookies entry, and select Clear Browsing Data. Access the Content Settings menu to block websites from creating cookies.
- Access the Advanced Settings section
Start Google Chrome, click on the menu button displayed as three horizontal bars, and select the Settings option from the dropdown menu. Navigate to the bottom of the window, and click on the Show Advanced Settings link.
- Remove the existing cookies
Navigate to the Privacy section, and click on the Clear Browsing Data button. Check the box next to the Cookies and Other Site and Plug-in Data entry, and select the Beginning of Time option from the dropdown menu. Uncheck the boxes next to the other options if you only want to remove cookies. Click on Clear Browsing Data when ready.
- Block websites from creating cookies
In the Privacy section, click on the Content Settings button. Select the Block Sites From Setting Any Data option, and check the box next to the Block Third-Party Cookies and Site Data entry. Click on the Manage Exceptions button if you want to enable specific websites to store cookies on your computer. Click on Done when ready, and restart Google Chrome.
