Download a free malware-removal program from the Malwarebytes home page by clicking on the Free Version Download button. Once you install the program, run it, and wait for the update process to complete. Scan your computer, and move all detected threat to the quarantine. This should neutralize the threat, while allowing you to reverse the changes, if something unwanted occurs upon removal.
To reset the changes made to your Web browser, access the main settings menu, and remove every toolbar from the list of extensions and add-ons. You may need to restart the browser to confirm the changes. To manually remove the adware software, go to the Control Panel, and click on the Uninstall a Program link next to the Programs icon. Make sure that the options in the Control Panel are categorized to be able to click on the necessary link. Once the uninstall window opens, select the software responsible for AdChoices, such as Babylon Toolbar, WebCake or Search Protect, and uninstall it.
