NewEgg, Amazon.com and Best Buy are three retailers that sell portable MP4 players. All three websites both sell MP4 players from their own inventories and allow third-party vendors to create listings. The Apple iPod Touch is an MP4 player that is available at all three retailers.
NewEgg allows unsatisfied customers to return MP4 players within 30 days of purchase. If the customer has opened the packaging, NewEgg charges a 15 percent restocking fee. NewEgg adds that the 30 days time period is the basic offer and that third-party vendors may offer more time.
Also allowing a window of time of 30 days, Amazon.com accepts returns for MP4 players that are defective or still in original packaging. The company reserves the right to charge a 15 percent restocking fee if the customer misrepresents the defect. Amazon.com warns that third-party vendors may exercise different rules for returns.
Although the basic return policy of Best Buy gives customers 15 days to return MP4 players, Best Buy Elite members get 30 days. The company requires the original packaging and accepts returns in person and by mail. Best Buy adds that third-party vendors may have different rules.
Offering storage space at up to 128 gigabytes, the Apple iPod Touch is a portable multimedia device that can play MP4 files. The device runs on iOS and features cameras on both sides.
